Oriental Adventures was the first book to mix fully playable races with [[you can certainly try|pseudo-playable]] monsters whose level adjustments would be given in a single table far away from all the other monster stats. The same table also provided level adjustments for a bunch of monsters from the Monster Manual I who had already gotten such a table in the DMG, because everyone at WotC was abusing massive amounts of [[heroin]] during this time period. They have been excluded here. Several playable races from the PHB got tweaks as well. ''OA'', like the ''Manual of the Planes'', provided a definition of level adjustment that seemed to include RHD, yet some of the level adjustments that it gave were lower than the RHD of their associated races, implying that LA did ''not'' include RHD.
