Augmek is a rank within [[House Van Saar]] on [[Necromunda]] and the gang's heavy weapons guy.
==Overview==
Working under a [[Prime]], Augmeks support their master and follow them in all things but are always looking to usurp their superior should the opportunity arise. Beneath Augmeks are [[Tek]]s and [[Subtek]]s, so they are kind of somewhere in the middle of the Van Saar hierarchy.

Augmeks are well-versed in countless forms of technological wargar and utilize advanced equipment as a result. Often as aforementioned, they act as the gang's heavy troops and wield massive weapons in battle. Equipment includes [[Multi-melta]]s, [[Rad Gun]]s, [[Plasma Cannon]]s, [[Grav-Cannon]]s, [[rape|''twin-linked'']] [[Lascannon]]s, [[Rad Cannon]]s, a plethora of [[Grenades & Explosives#Frag Grenade|Frags]], [[Grenades & Explosives#Krak Grenade|Kraks]] and [[Grenades & Explosives#Rad Grenade|Rad Grenades]], and a heavier variant [[Carapace Armour]] rather than the 'standard-issue' [[Imperial Mesh Armour]], to better protect their bodies from the radiation backwash of their own weapons and to make them [[Awesome|completely badass as a result]].

They also can walk around with a couple of [[Cyberarachnid]]s from time to time. Either for protection or to add further firepower.

==Crunch==
On Necromunda, they are Van Saar's standard champion unit which features 2 Wounds and an upgraded BS2+, but isn’t any better at fighting hand-to-hand than an ordinary ganger. This lends them to straightforward shooting builds – as with any gang, these are your most reliable heavy or special weapon-carriers, and with their upgraded stats and Group Activation abilities, you should always feature them heavily in your roster.

Augmeks can pick '''Savant''' skills, of which the best are ‘passive’ skills which generate campaign income, or '''Shooting''', which is full of options to make them some of the scariest firepower pieces in the game.
