'''Battle Wizards''' are militant members of the [[Colleges of Magic]] in [[Warhammer Fantasy]]. Men and Women wielding great arcane powers, battle wizards are among the most powerful and dangerous people in the Empire. The great destruction they can reap upon the battlefield makes them highly untrusted, and at worst seen as barely sentient living weapons by the most dogmatic of the Empire's orthodoxy. This view of them is not helped by the fact that most Battle Wizards, are "unhinged" to say the least, the great lengths they have gone to study the Winds of magic have left their minds addled. Most of it comes off as flippant moods and strange rituals, for others it can be complete total insanity, with them only being let out of isolation to sow devastation upon the foes of Sigmar's imperial realm.
==Famous Battle Wizards==
*[[Balthasar Gelt]] - Gold Wizard and Supreme Patriarch of the Colleges as of the pre-End Times present. He's known for being a bit of a scam artist but he's also incredibly talented.
*[[Egrimm van Horstmann]] - Former White Wizard who turned out to have been a cultist of [[Tzeentch]] and corrupted a lot of students into his coven.
*[[Elspeth von Draken]] - Magister of the Amethyst College during the events of [[Tamurkhan]]'s rampage. Rides atop a kickass Carmine Dragon.
*[[Vermintide|Sienna Fuegonasus]] - Bright Wizard, though in a loose sense. Due to the entire world going to shit, it's clear that she's not very far along in her training. Depending on the class you pick in [[Vermintide 2]], even that training can either be absolutely discarded or reinforced.
*[[Thyrus Gormann]] - Bright Wizard and former Supreme Patriarch, whom Gelt beat in order to attain the position.
