All I ever wanted was the truth... After Lorgar Aurelian's fall from grace because of Daddy's disapproval of his original fan-fic idea. Lorgar went full teenage angst and rebellion, culminating in the Horus Heresy. During the Heresy and after, Lorgar begin writing his new fan-fic for his new Gods that appreciate him and loves him very, very much. The Book of Lorgar was completed before the Heresy went to shit and became the Chaos version of the Lectitio Divinitatus, which consisted of several thousand pages filled to the brim with daemonic cocksucking. ==Overview== Following his dealings with old priesthoods and their dark masters. By the time of the Battle of Calth, the Book of Lorgar was 9,752 volumes and counting. His Astartes Legion, the Word Bearers, held this text as almost sacred, in spite of the concern this caused for others, including the Emperor himself. That Dick Erebus bore tattoos upon his shaven scalp said to depict long passages from the book, that he might terrify his foes with the strength of his conviction. While attempting to decode these tattoos and text from the book itself, Imperial iterator Kyril Sindermann inadvertently summoned a daemon from the Warp which destroyed many of the archives aboard the Vengeful Spirit before it was banished once more. During the Horus Heresy, senior officers of the Word Bearers and Planetary Governors appointed by the Word Bearers were expected to own and study a copy. Surprise, Lorgar was really, really keen on promoting his new YA novel much to the annoyance of basically everyone. In addition, each of the traitor Primarchs was given an individualized copy following the Drop Site Massacre. Fulgrim's copy was bound in living skin, Perturabo's copy was bound in etched steel, Alpharius was given two copies, each slightly different than each other, and Horus's copy was bound in the flesh of betrayed legionaries (Don't ask how it's gonna smell once the flesh rots). Horus asked why Lorgar chose that, and the Urizen said "symbolism", a reason the Warmaster accepted. Interestingly, giving Alpharius two copies could be meant to show that Lorgar is aware of Omegon's existance, since who else would the second book be for? It could be his way of letting the twins know he knows what's up, as he is not above some trolling from what we saw in his message to Guilliman during the Battle of Calth. Although how the fuck does he know about the twins is anyone's guess. Also interestingly, it's hinted (if not outright confirmed) that one of the twins fully sided with the cause of Horus in the fight to topple the Emperor while the other one was only doing it ironically, so maybe one version of the Book convinced the twin that read it to fully commit to Chaos while the other one failed to do so. The detail of the two books could also mean nothing, just a lore detail GW planted knowing nerds will overthink it. Next to the Book of Magnus, the Book of Lorgar possess the second largest reservoir of daemonology, sorcery and all things Warp related. Although the Book of Lorgar has more info on the Chaos Gods themselves, Magnus is a dry author compared to Lorgar's flowery prose, making the Book of Magnus akin to a PhD paper rather than a horrid fan-fic. ==Gallery== <gallery> Book_of_Lorgar_2.PNG </gallery>
