Bruisers are members of House Goliath and form the main foot soldiers of the House in Necromunda and are effectively the unofficial de facto mascots of the Necromunda game. ==Overview== They compromise the bulk of most Goliath Gangs, coming from all parts of the clan and can be Vatborn, Natborn, or Unborn. They live short and violent lives of around 10 to 40 years on average and in terms of their fighting style, they are the complete opposite of House Escher's as they prefer strong attacks at the expanse of sluggish speed. Due to their low-rank nature and commonality, a typical Bruiser is armed with large and heavy weapons that resembles more like an Ork's armoury than anything human. These include Imperial Boltguns, Combat Shotguns, Stub Cannons, Krumper Rivet Cannons, Grenade Launchers, Renderizers, Chainaxes, Combat Knives, Giant Wrenches, Axe Cleavers and Power Hammers. They may also carry a Stub Gun for a sidearm, but a Bruiser is most likely going to throw the damn thing (Most likely cause more damage than shooting it). They also carry a wide range of Frags and Krak Grenades. In a typical Bruiser gang troupe, there is usually five or six Bruisers to form the bulk of the troupe, with the remaining ones being a Forge Boss and lesser Bullies who learn from their seniors on how to get it right and proper. ==Crunch== On Necromunda, they are your typical rank and file ganger-type. When you think Necromundan gangs, these are always the ones that pop up first in your head. Bruisers being the workhorse of Goliath, aren't equipped with specialised and expensive equipment. Which isn't that much of a problem when your typical Goliath ganger is armed with a hand cannon on one hand, and a giant axe on the other. The only exception to this are Grenade Launchers which used to count as a specialist weapon, so a Bruiser squad can say bye-bye to this weapon. This is not to say that all is lost however, Goliath gangers can still be allowed to nominate a single Bruiser to be a Specialist at founding to balance the game. Makes sense since if every mook had mass grenade launcher spam, Goliath would break every playthrough. That one dude can rock a Grenade Launcher or a Flamer, and even has the ability to choose his advancements as he spends XP. Everyone else is going to be confined to the less-explodey weapons until they prove they can be trusted. House Goliath
