The Cargo-8 Ridgehauler is a type of Imperial military-civilian logistics vehicle that acts kind of like a mixture between an overland train and a semi-trailer. These are 40 ton cargo trucks that are used on many Imperial worlds due to their reliability and utilitarianism which is so good that even the Squats living on Necromunda have started to use them like a 9th edition version of the old Land Train. Because of this, don't be too surprised that the Imperial Guard also find them to be useful as well. ==Overview== The Cargo-8's design is pretty rugged and simplistic. They usually have a room for two in their cabs and are equipped with a Vox-grate, headlights that can be shrouded or put on full light and klaxons (AKA, truck horns) that bellow loudly. If they travel in groups, the Cargo-8's can be configured so they share an alarm system. By doing this, the driver of the lead truck can press an alert button on their dashboard, in case of a possible threat or hazard, and cause yellow lights to flash in the other Cargo-8s' cabs. If there is a threat to the trucks, then the driver can press the button again to cause red lights to flash. The Cargo-8's cargo compartments are also covered, but they have roof hatches that can be opened. By itself, an empty Cargo-8 looks oddly anorexic, but that's because that large empty backspace is used to haul one freight container for goods and services. This doesn't mean the vehicle remains harmless however, as certain gangs in Necromunda are known to modify the freight container to mount two pintle-mounted Heavy Stubbers and a cabin-mounted Grenade Launcher. Each Cargo-8's are also given a connection system to attach more trailers for it to ferry more cargo, turning it into the aforementioned land train design. Cargo-8's used by the Imperial Guard, are equipped with bolters that are attached to pintle rings. These rings are located near the top of the cargo compartments and the roof hatches have to be opened for the gunners to make use of them. Since the bolters are connected to the ring, the gunners can move the weapons around it if need be. The sides of these militarized Cargo-8's have also been reinforced with armour and the front of their cabs are equipped with ram-bars. ==Gallery== <gallery> Cargo8_trailer.JPG|The trailers. </gallery> Imperial-Guard {|align=center border=2 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=4 |- !colspan=1| Original Necromundan Houses!!
