Bonepickers are the teeming Juve masses of Necromunda's House Cawdor gangs and are considered as <s>cannon fodder, bullet sponges, meatshields</s> new and inspiring recruits who has a zealous hard-on for the Redemptionist cult. ==Overview== When a House Cawdor Word-Keeper wants a ready supply of fighters for his gang, he will recruit them from nearby Cawdor settlements. These Bonepickers are then given scavenged weapons and sent off into the fray. They are so called Bonepickers because they are known to scavenge whatever nick-knacks they could find. As such, they are often the worst equipped individual in the entirety of Necromunda, which is one hell of a feat, these guys are the murderhobos of the murderhobos. They often are only issued the most simplest of weapons such as a Flail, Axe, Cleaver Knife, Reclaimed Autopistols, Stub Guns and Incendiary Charges. In a typical Cawdor Gang, each gang troupe usually has one Bonepicker to learn from his superiors on the proper Cawdor way to do things. ==Crunch== On the Necromunda tabletop, Bonepickers are a surprisingly good choice for a Juve despite their murderhobo reputation. This is due to the fact that Bonepickers all have the Devout Masses (Juve), but instead of 1 extra Bonepicker per battle, you can take d3. This is ridiculous as you can have potentially three free Bonepickers that pops out of nowhere like fucking human Skaven. A fully-equipped Cawdor gang should be showing up to every fight with 2-4 extra fighters, before tactics cards and Paths of Faith shenanigans. So, youβll want three. The best weapons for them are the ones that give bonuses to hit, so Flails for CC and Stub Pistols as a sidearm. You can keep them cheap on the low to soak up bullets, or if you are feeling a bit rich, you can give all of them Incendiary Charges to compensate for their Ork-levels of shit BS 5+. You can give them armour, but it is a waste of points since they are designed to catch bullets and Tarpit enemy gang members. In campaign, however, Mesh Armour is cheap and plentiful, even if it costs almost as much as a Juve himself. House Cawdor
