Editing Covenant Mortars

Covenant Mortars are Covenant Direct Energy weapons that has been specialized to fire, as the title says, like a Mortar. Being too large and heavy to be carried by Infantry, they are instead mounted on vehicles like tanks and Gun batteries. Any object that has been struck by a Plasma Mortar has shown devastating and often catastrophic results.

==Class-2 Medium Mortar==
A smaller Plasma Mortar mounted only on the Covenant Revenant. These small Mortars although having less range then their larger counterparts, compensate it for their faster firing rate, making it ideal for anti-infantry and anti-vehicle. Noted for their reddish hue on their Plasma Mortar, the Class-2 Medium Mortar is essentially a Covenants version of the Imperium's [[Griffon heavy mortar|Griffon Heavy Mortar cannon.]]

==Type-25 Assault Gun Carriage==
The most recognizable style of Covenant Mortar. These Mortars are mounted on the Wraith main battle tank and are heavily devastating to almost any type of tanks and vehicles, such damage includes turning an entire vehicle into slag, or in some cases a complete vaporization. Being part of the Direct Energy weapon however, the Covenant sometimes change the state of the Plasma in order to deal with different problems. In the case of the Wraith, it can change and alter the shape of the Plasma Mortar, turning the single blobs of Plasma, into a purplish liquid like Plasma gel. Called the "Scorched" ability by both Covenant and Imperium alike, these altered shots are meant to deal with Infantry dug in trenches or buildings, the sheer heat and its molten state, makes such coverings a death wish to anybody inside the cover, as the liquid Plasma splashes inside the smallest cracks and over the tallest walls, immolating anything inside.

==Class-12 Continental Mortar==
Mounted only on the Class-12 Covenant Continental Artillery, these huge Mortar Batteries are meant to fire indirect shots that could travel pass the horizon and hit the opposing army half way across a continent. Owing for its versatility, range and power, the Covenant field very little of those, but when they do, it can change the tide of an entire War.
