'''Eachthighern''' is the patron god of the [[pegasus|pegasi]] and [[unicorn]]s from [[Dungeons & Dragons]], and part of the original pantheon of [[Archfey]] for the [[Great Wheel]]. He debuted in ''Monster Mythology'', and received some slightly increased attention from a [[Planescape]] perspective in both ''Planes of Chaos'' and ''On Hallowed Ground''.

Appearing as a magnificent white & gray winged unicorn stallion, Eachthighern's origins are a mystery; the most common myth portrays him as  child of [[Koriel]], patron god of the [[ki-rin]], but he's also been described as a gift to [[Titania]] by an unnamed sky-god or as the son of a humanoid trickster god - [[Erevan Ilesere]] is a common candidate, supposedly having been impregnated with him in female form as part of some scheme or another.

Whilst he has been depicted as a steed for [[Oberon]], [[Fionnghuala]] and [[Hanali Celanil]], Eachthighern is largely an independent deity who serves the Seelie Court as a guardian and protector, especially of their holy sites such as forest glades and stone circles. Whilst he spends most of his time in the [[Upper Planes]] with the rest of the Seelie Court, he sometimes either visits the [[Prime Material]] or sends avatars to guard fey holy sites there. Avatars of Eachthighern have been known to seek out elves or fey in need of healing, or who are in dire need of an ally to defend their homes from evil.

==In the [[Forgotten Realms]]==
As a deity from Monster Mythology, Eachthighern is largely associated with [[Greyhawk]] as his world of choice, but he has a certain subtle presence in the [[Forgotten Realms]] as well. The unicorns of [[Evermeet]] are believed to be his mortal descendants, and there are arguments that Kamerynn, the divine [[unicorn]] of the Moonshaes, is actually an aspect of Eachthighern. There is speculation that he is the father of either the [[unicorn]] goddess [[Lurue]], the [[pegasus]] demigoddess [[Yathaghera]], or both.

Eachthighern's Realmslore largely amounts to passing mentions in the [[splatbook]]s "Powers & Pantheons" (and its 3e equivalent "Faiths & Pantheons") and "Elves of Evermeet", and in the article “Forgotten Deities: [[Lurue]]; [[Nobanion]]” in [[Polyhedron Magazine]] #115.
