{{Infobox Deity |Name = Earth Dragon |Symbol = A coiled dragon |Aliases = Earth Lord, Serpent of Stone, Wyrm of the Hills |Alignment = Lawful Evil |Divine Rank = Demigod |Pantheon = Oerth (Flan) |Portfolio = Earth, Weather, Hidden treasures |Domains = Earth, Evil, Law, Protection, Weather |Home Plane = [[Prime Material Plane]] (''Mount Drachenkopf'', [[Oerth]]) |Worshippers = Inhabitants of Drachensgrab Hills |Favoured Weapon = Light or heavy pick }} '''The Earth Dragon''' is the spirit of Mount Drachenkopf in Pomarj. ==History== The Earth Dragon is one of the few remaining nature spirits that are still worshipped as gods, having been worshipped well before the other gods. Every culture that settled in the Drachensgrab Hills has added the dragon to its pantheon. During the ''Great Migrations'', a tribe of Suloise slaughtered a Flan tribe that lived in the hills, with the gods, which may have included the dragon, punishing them by turning them to stone, creating the Twisted Forest. In the mid-400 CY, a baron called Erkin communed with the god. In exchange for worship and sacrifices, the god helped the baron conquer the hills in five years. His brother and descendants continued honoring the pact, until in 574 CY, when the High Priest of The Earth Dragon murdered the king, and claimed the kingdom for the Slave Lords. When Turrosh Mak conquered the hills, he helped spread the faith in the god. ==Dogma== The Earth Dragon is the great provider and the spirit of the earth. Those who worship it and obey it are promised protection. The Earth Dragon is said to know all the secrets of the land, favoring its chosen with power and knowledge. To please their god, the faithful must worship, sacrifice, and spread the faith to others. {{clear}} {{D&D-Greyhawk-Deities}}
