This insane deity, resembling an enormous Red Dragon, symbolizes the sheer power and destructive force of dragonkind, and especially the devastation it can create when unleashed with wanton urge. Garyx's followers are either power-hungry, insane, or some combination of the two; they worship him by lashing out at the world around them, devastating the countryside and sowing ruin wherever they please. The most unusual aspect of his worship is the small druid order, who revere Garyx as a cleansing force, sweeping aside the old to provide room for new life to flourish as nature rejuvenates itself. These are the only worshippers of Garyx to have a particularly complicated style of worship; on winter solstice they celebrate All-Consuming Night, maintaining a large bonfire and fueling it with flammable items donated by Garyx's worshippers. At the spring equinox, they visit the site of this worship to undergon the Sanctification of Renewal; sifting the ashes for useful remains that can be taken for reuse and nurturing seedlings that took root around the site. Other worshippers of Garyx simply follow his example; waging war, picking fights, or otherwise destroying things on a whim. Garyx cares little for the doings of his faithful; so long as they make the occasional prayer to him (typically a simple benison such as "grant me the power to destroy", spoken whilst lighting a fire) and carve his symbol near the site of their lates devastation, then that is enough. Garyx is served by a mixture of Chaotic-aligned, fiery dragonblood creatures of all kinds, as well as fire elementals. He apparently has an intelligent side as in Giant legend, Annam challenged him to a game of "Wah-ree" (basically chess for giants) to determine who would win the 1000-year war between giants and dragons. They both played so well that they tied, so the war ended in a truce.
