The '''Golden Imperial''' is the standard unit of currency in the [[Imperium of Man]]. Exchange Rates are not well known at this time.

In the first Horus Heresy book, a mention is given to a pile of "Imperial coin and plastek wafers," one of which is a "five aquila piece" that the Imperium replaces the local currency with after they burn down a planet. In ''Legion'', Imperial soldiers from Terra bet with "Crowns."

Other planets and sectors have their own currency. The Calixis Sector uses the [[Throne Gelt]], or Throne. In [[Varangantua]] the currency is called Slate and is largely electronic.
