They are infamous for having one of the most impossible-to-pronounce names in D&D, even more so than [[Aarakocra]]. Also, in case you're wondering, it's supposedly pronounced ''ick-ZIT-za-chit-ul'', although if it were actually pronounced according to the Aztec language it's aping, it'd be more like ''ish-it-SHATCH-it-ulsh''. Good luck with that.

A freshwater version native to the [[Underdark]] called Ixzan appear in ''[[Night Below]]''.
