stub Kap'n Skabend is an Goblin special character from the "Bugman's Lament" campaign that ran in the pages of White Dwarf, meaning he is intended to be a minor player in the grand history of greenskin heroes and not used outside of the special scenario, though of course you can do so if your opponent agrees. Sly, malicious and cunning, Kap'n Skabend leads a goblin river pirates known as the River Rats, who have been plaguing the empire for many years. His bitterest enemy is the Dwarf Grim Grunnson, who lopped off one of Skabend's hands in a fight, forcing the goblin to get a crudely fitted hook prosthetic that causes him constant itching and pain. He takes great pride in his status as a river pirate, and even keeps a pet parrot squig named Skreek as part of the outfit. This may be because Skabend is actually one of the little studied goblin subspecies known as Troglagobs, who have adapted to watery environments to the point of being borderline amphibious. When Skabend goes, his "lucky mascot" Slygit follows; stunted and twisted even by goblin standards, Skabend personally hates the little git, but ever since he survived by struck by lightning when they were out on the river in a storm once, the River Rats have been convinced he is blessed of Mork, so Skabend begrudgingly tolerates him. Kap'n Skabend has Movement 4, Weapon Skill 4, Ballistic Skill 4, Strength 4, Toughness 4, Wounds 2, Initiative 4, Attacks 3 and Leadership 7. He costs 123 points and is armed with Hacka's Sword of Hackin' (from the O&G 6e army book), his Hook Hand (grants +1 Attack), a Pistol, Skreek the Parrot Squig (grants a 5+ Ward Save) and Light Armor. He has the following special rules: ::Enmity (Grim Grunnson): If Skabend is ever within 12" of Grim Grunnson, roll a d6; on a 1, Skabend will charge his hated enemy, even if this means leaping overboard and swimming for it! Additionally, Skabend re-rolls all missed hits against Grim Grunnson in every round of close combat (2nd roll's resuls stand). ::Troglagob: Skabend re-rolls Strength tests made when Swimming and can Swim D6+2" each turn. Slygit has Movement 4, Weapon Skill 3, Ballistic Skill 3, Strength 3, Toughness 3, Wounds 1, Initiative 4, Attacks 1 and Leadership 7. He costs 45 points and carries 2 Hand Weapons and Slygit's Bana (All Goblins within 12" may re-roll all failed Panic and All ALone tests, and may re-roll their first failed Rout test so long as Slygit is still on board, but he doesn't add +1 to Combat Resolution). He has the following unique special rule: ::Lucky Git: Slygit has a special 2+ save against any spell, wound or attack that might otherwise kill him. If he rolls a 2+ then the Wound, spell effects, etc are ignored, although any other model in a unit with him is affected. Kap'n Skabend and Slygit must be purchased together, at the cost of a single Hero slot for the pair. Orc-Gitz
