'''Leng Spiders''', or '''Spiders of Leng''', to give them their original designation by [[H.P. Lovecraft]], are a race of giant, intelligent, purple [[spider]]s native to the [[Dreamlands]]. They inhabit the Underworld, specifically the winding labyrinths of caves and catacombs beneath the Plateau of Leng, from which they frequently prey on the [[Leng Folk]], who originally drove them from the Plateau and into the Underworld - hence the name. They are believed to be the servitors and/or children of [[Atlach-Nacha]], the great spider-god who seeks to unite Earth and the Dreamlands. Ruthless and antisocial, they are voracious predators who consider all other creatures, including each other, to be prey.
