Prosecutor Cadres are members of the Sisters of Silence and among those Sisters most commonly seen publicly by the general populace and plebians of the Imperium with their identifiable Vratine Armour, forming the foot soldiers and guards of the paramilitary organisation of the League of the Black Ships, and as strike infantry well suited to combat missions outside of their silent halls. ==Overview== It is believed that the normal Sisters of Silence Squad differ from Prosecutor Cadres in terms of experience, public exposure and tactical importance. Whilst normal Null Maidens provide a flexible and balanced unit (They start of with Bolters but can later be upgraded with Flamers or Executioner Greatblades as well as a Sister Superior), Prosecutors seem to be based upon exclusively on ranged combat and hit and run (Can upgrade their standard Bolters with two Bolt Pistols, Hand Flamers, Needle Pistols and Plasma Pistols). However they can still be equipped with a Power weapon or a Charnabal Sabre for deterrence, although that is restricted to leaders. Or to put it in another perspective, it could be argued that a Sisters of Silence Squad is a combination of both a Prosecutor, Seeker and a Vigilator to create a fine and balanced unit. For non-combat work, they are equipped with a Snare Gun sidearm for non-lethal subjugation. In field operations Prosecutors specialize in open engagement of massed targets, favoring a modified variant of the Terran boltgun more commonly seen in the hands of the Legiones Astartes for its flexibility, stopping power and high rate of fire. Prosecutor Cadres usually come with four Prosecutors and one Prosecutor Mistress. ==Crunch== On the 40k tabletop, they are the rangers of the lot and the cheapest of the sisters. These girls are probably most useful for you as Custodians, as they allow you to take down at least a couple of the enemyโs psykers before your custodians get closer and they start smiting 50-100 points per psychic phase. Also helpful for killing said psykers without sending a 5-man Guard squad to chew through bubble wrap for two turns, all the while taking losses from the psyker they guard. Bear in mind, however, that their bolters are just bolters, so will utterly wilt against high toughness and/or saves. Due to the FOC limitations of getting sisters, you'll be keeping them shielded by the custodians so they can keep firing away without interruption. On the other hand, in the Horus Heresy tabletop, they are WS4 BS4 I4 baseline Sisters of Silence with bolters (or double bolt pistols) and grenades. They get Fanatic Discipline and can buy a Nuncio-Vox or Breaching Charge. Infiltrate or give them Stealth, keep them small and use them as objective holders. Alternatively buy the max amount, give them two pistols, use them as bubble-wrap and make them look like a juicy target. No really, they can be surprisingly hard to wipe out, about the only things that can manage it are fully-kitted out Legion-specific squads, or a fully kitted out Assault Squad (both of which are far more expensive than the Prosecutors, and the Assault Squad can only do it on the charge) and Fearless ensures they don't run. Once they've got stuck in (or wiped out) counter-charge with whatever they're in front of and wipe out whatever it was they're up against.
