Editing Razorwing Jetfighter

The Razorwing is a supersonic flyer employed by the [[Dark Eldar]]. It is named after the [[Razorwing Flock|winged-lifeform]] of the Syros Subsector [[Death World]]. It is of a similar design to the [[Nightwing Interceptor|Nightwing fighter]] utilized by their [[Eldar|more pansy and thus more boring cousins,]] although [[Skub|how much they actually look like the Nightwings is up to debate.]]

Razorwings [[Dakka|are armed to the teeth,]] especially for a vehicle of its size. Razorwings are typically armed with twin-linked [[Splinter Rifle]]s (which can be replaced with a single [[Splinter Cannon]]) and either two wing-mounted [[Dark Lance]]s or two [[Disintegrator Cannon]]s, as well as an assortment of Razorwing Missiles that can utilize a variety of payloads such as: a [[Monoscythe Missile]], a [[Necrotoxin Missile]] or a [[Shatterfield Missile]]. Razorwing pilots are highly skilled at high-speed combat, generally having come from the ranks of the most elite [[Reaver Jetbike]] riders; therefore Razorwing pilots tend to be highly experienced and dangerous opponents.

There is also a bomber variant in [[Battlefleet Gothic: Armada II]] called the '''Razorwing Bomber''', which looks exactly the same as the Jetfighter, just with a difference in payload. They are the primary bombers of Dark Eldar space fleets and are very difficult to target and hit with point-defense turrets due to their high dodge stats shared with the [[Eagle Bomber]], making them a major threat to targeted warships.

In 8th Edition, while the [[Hemlock Wraithfighter]] may be more maneuverable, the Razorwing is far, far faster. In fact it is one of the swiftest units in the entire game, featuring a 72" base move that can be increased by a further 20" when the aircraft Advances. This may seem excessive for a standard 6x4 game board (and it certainly is), but a key takeaway here is that a critically damaged Razorwing can safely withdraw to the furthest corner of the map and thus deny your opponent some VP's. Plus, if your opponent is Imperial you can just laugh at how slow his fliers are anyway.

== Missile Armaments ==

The Razorwing is equipped with a variety of missiles, each of which kill the enemy in a variety of seemingly impractical yet deadly ways: 
*Monoscythe missiles - A missile that, when detonated, compresses its explosion into a disk-like form slicing targets in half rather than blowing them apart.
*Necrotoxin missiles - Filled with deadly neuropoisons, it fires shards of toxic shrapnel when it detonates, killing and pinning the enemy.
*Shatterfield missiles - Has two separate detonation chambers, the first one sucks away all warmth, turning the foe into ice-like statues. The second one sends out a powerful force that blows the brittle enemy to pieces.
