Editing Sentinel Guard

The [[Adeptus Custodes|Custodes]] Sentinel Guards are more of a defensive unit in contrast to the [[Rape|rape machines]] that is the [[Custodian Guard|Custodian Guard Squads,]] yet despite being meant to defend they are still something you do not want to fuck with. Essentially in a more serious note, Sentinel Guards are used as defensive formations of the Legio Custodes and are designed to function as a mobile bulwark to protect emissaries on hazardous ground and hold defensive lines against the most grievous onslaught in open battle.

In order to achieve this, they are equipped similarly to their Custodian Guard cousins except instead of Guardian Spears they are equipped with the [[Shield#Praesidium Shield|Praesidium Shield]]s and a [[Power weapon#Sentinel Blade|Sentinel Warblade]] making them excellent mobile bunkers and don [[Auramite Armour]] for additional defense. Seriously their stats are still the same to the Custodian Guards, [[Cheese|which essentially turns the Sentinel Guards into a goddamn blob breaker.]] I mean they have a special rule in which [[Rage|friendly infantry units being targeted by ranged attacks which just so happen to pass through the area occupied by a unit composed entirely of Sentinel Guards (Seriously what are the odds?) gain an immediate 4+ cover save.]]

Anyways, when deployed outside the walls of the Imperial Palace, their charge is often to protect key aspects of allied detachments and resources liberated from the enemy. However, it has been witnessed during large scale sudden assaults that their [[Rape|close formations also served to disrupt enemy lines.]] While they still retain the loose unit structures of the Legio Custodes, the Sentinel Guard by their nature utilize a greater synchronicity between warriors in service to the various phalanx formations that could be required of the squad at any given moment.
