The barbarian tribes of Seren worship the dragons of Argonessen as gods, with each of the thirty, or so, tribes having a dragon "founder", who together make the pantheon that the barbarians worship. ==Beliefs== When the ancestors of the tribes were brought to Argonessen, a covenant was made between them and the founders, with the tribes being tasked to defend the land from the weak and unworthy, and to honor the tribes founder. How the tribes go about upholding this covenant depends on the color and alignment of the founder. The tribes believe that upon death, the soul is judged, and if found to have upheld the covenant, their soul enters a dragon's egg. Once enough souls have entered the egg, a new dragon is born from the distilled essence of the noble souls that went before. Because of this, the Seren believe dragons represent everything that is best about the human spirit. Much of the religious life and ceremonies are centered on the totem, through which the patron, or its spirit, keeps watch over the tribe. In Totem Beach, a totem of every founder can be found, along with the monoliths, where the Seren believe the spiritual essence of their patrons resides.
