A Games Workshop product created for the Warhammer Fantasy event, Storm of Chaos. Only produced and sold for a very short time, they were made of tin and had psychadelic swirly designs of color and came six to a box. The original template concept was actually first made for Apocalypse, with Fantasy simply getting the same treatment with overstock. The retail value was $29, and they were relegated to a webstore exclusive shortly after the event fizzled until the rest of the stock sold out. In spite of all this...they were actually well-received by the community. No, seriously. Although buying a set for yourself was quite steep, even the most balls to the walls magic players only ever needed a maximum of 3 and the average player only needed one which allowed the price to be split among a playing group. Functionally, they were merely cool-looking replacements for the large spell template included in every starter set. Hilariously, one of the few cheap cash-grab pieces of merchandise Games Workshop released within recent years fans actually praised is entirely useless for Age of Sigmar. It was noted by some fans who were determined to get their own that a Lifesavers Christmas ornament candy container called "Ornomints" open horizontally and are the same size and material as the Storm of Magic Vortex Templates. Unfortunately, now those are also hard to find. Them's the breaks, and eBay is once again the true ultimate victor in the war between Games Workshop and their patrons. <gallery> Image:Storm Of Magic Templates Box.jpg Image:Ornomints.jpg Image:Ornomints Vortex Compare.png </gallery>
