Subeks are the lower-tier soldiers of [[House Van Saar]] on [[Necromunda]].
==Overview==
While young and inexperienced, these "green" Teks are still very capable. While other gangs often treat such lowly members of their crew as cannon fodder, Subteks are given a level of care and respect as decently advanced wargear.

Indeed, despite being the youngest, Van Saar is so goddamn advance that their Juves are on average, better equipped than most ''champions''. Because of this, they are the best protected, toughest and deadliest green techies you will ever see. Equipment wise, your average Subtek either dual wield [[Plasma Pistol]]s or [[Laspistol]]s, or they carry a [[Lasgun]] with an optional Portable Energy Shield. Every single Subtek wears fullbody [[Imperial Mesh Armour]] for protection.

==Crunch==
On Necromunda, Subteks are your 'cheap' units that is more limited on their weapons list than the [[Tek]]s, but they can still get lasguns, so they can fill the same role. Overall, you’re taking worse stats in several critical areas (WS, BS, Cool etc) in return for a substantial (30 credits) price reduction and a potentially useful +1” Move & Initiative; Subteks can also pick stat increases.
 
Pre-House of Artifice, Subteks had a role in running ahead of your firepower models to take enemy fire, reach objectives, threaten Coup de Graces against injured enemies, etc. Unfortunately, the introduction of the [[Neotek]]s with their superior mobility puts their use into question. At the very least, cheap is cheap, and Subteks can still act as pretty lethal [[DISTRACTION CARNIFEX|DISTRACTION CARNIFEXES]] overall.
