Sung Chiang or Song Jiang was a Chinese bandit who led a rebellion against the Song Dynasty in the 12th Century. A fictionalized version of him appears in the 14th century novel Water Margin, wherein he is one of the 108 Stars of Destiny, 108 demon lords who were who banished from heaven, have since repented for their crimes, and have been reborn as mortal men who band together to save the day. ==Dungeons & Dragons == In D&D, Sung Chiang is a god of thieves who dwells in the Teardrop Palace on Khalas, the first layer of Gehenna. He loves animals with lots of tentacles, like cephalopods and jellyfish, and the architecture of his palace is greatly inspired by them. He appears as either a humanoid with eight arms, three faces, and silvery fish scales, or a 300-foot long jellyfish. In addition to hiring gehreleths, he created a unique species of creatures called linquas to guard his divine realm. <gallery> sung chiang PoConflict.jpg|The Teardrop Palace Omott Uncaged.jpg|A linqua </gallery>
