Editing The Emperor's New Bang

;Forge World Mars Sol System. 41,005 AD

The [[God-Emperor of Mankind|Emperor]] had been hard at work, making new weapons, armor and vehicles to protect mankind in this Grimdark universe. He was finally finished with all he had done; now, to test it...

;Cadia Fortress World, Cadia System. The same day.

The Chaos Space Marine could hardly wait to claim the skulls of the false emperor to please Khorne.  He had a feeling that with Abaddon not leading this Black Crusade we could finally take Cadia! and then Terra... He smiled at the thought then snapped his thoughts back into the fight the forces of Chaos had so far not encountered any resistance from the hated Cadian Shock Troops...

Then he heard weapons fire, "Blood For the Blood God!" he roared and charged ahead to find a single Imperial Guardsmen standing out in the open! he looked at the puny human, his armor and weapon was different than he remembered, but it was just one weak human, he charged, not even reaching for his bolt pistol, the Guardsmen raised his weapon... and fired it. The Chaos Marine slashed down....

and realized he had no arm, he looked at his armor, the whole right arm had been ripped off! he looked behind... his arm was lying there with his chain axe idling. He roared and reached for his Bolt pistol.... his hand never got there as a barrage of fire from the Guardsmen ripped him apart.

;Forgeworld Mars, Sol System

"This rifle will replace the lasgun as the standard weapon in the Imperium Guard."

The Emperor held the weapon in his hands as he demonstrated it. One of the Tech-Priests raised a servo claw "How does it operate?", "Ah yes the weapon takes a simple block of metal like this one." he reached over to a table a picked up the block of metal. "Then inside the weapon a small piece is sheared off and super heated." 

The Emperor then broke open the weapon and inserted the block, he closed the weapon with a click-clack and a whine of the weapon charging. "then it is propelled at hypersonic speed at its target, any more questions?" another tech-priest raised his hand "What is the weapon called?"

"I'm calling it an Impact Rifle."
