'''Throne(s) Gelt''', commonly referred to as Thrones, is the closest thing the [[Imperium of Man]] has to a universal monetary unit. It is a standardized measure of wealth, its value determined by a planet's tithes. The name is derived from a combination of The [[Golden Throne]] and an archaic term for tithe money payed in olde times of [[Games Workshop|GW's]] Homeland; Throne Gelt literally just means 'The Emperors' Money'. Is quite appropriately abbreviated as 'tg.' [[Golden Imperial]]s might exist.
