  • curprev 20:2820:28, 25 September 2022 1d4chan>Lord Grievous 11,129 bytes −115 I didn't say anything else because there isn't the space for it...and because they don't deserve it. I'd also say that "Leia was never a well written character" doesn't really stand up...unless you're going to say that Leia was badly written in the OT too. And no, not everyone agrees. I can point to at least one YT channel that didn't hop on that bandwagon, and it got folks commenting that supported him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HZPdpbXC5Y undo

Leia was never a well written character, and saying their reviews are trash without anything else to say doesn’t validate your opinion. If everyone agrees that Leia and Reva are poorly written drivel, then it’s probably a point that they’re —>Not Liked<—. undo

  • curprev 16:1916:19, 1 September 2022 1d4chan>Lord Grievous 10,963 bytes +333 Just because one story didn't do it right it doesn't mean that its impossible to do it right any other way. A lot of those YT video essays are also really just trash, so they're not worth invoking as an authority. undo
  • curprev 15:2115:21, 1 September 2022 192.180.107.176 talk 10,630 bytes −333 I wouldn’t say episode 1 is good even if they did their message right. Obi Wan being broke and depressed is still pretty stupid, and the Last Jedi proved it can’t work with established characters like Luke or Obi Wan. As for Leah, her performance just isn’t consistent or age-appropriate for a 10 year old with exposition powers and the worst running away since the mopeds from Boba Fett. undo

  • curprev 01:1701:17, 19 July 2022 1d4chan>Lord Grievous 10,456 bytes +241 I wouldn't have. And you know folks would have harped on that too. In any case, she's not EXACTLY the same. She is a bit more naive / cute / innocence than she would be later. There's a middle ground between useless/dumb and perfect, and again, the idea that a useless idiot would be ideal makes no sense. But how about we compromise and say it's debatable? undo
  • curprev 00:5700:57, 19 July 2022 192.180.107.176 talk 10,215 bytes −156 I would have preferred a dimwitted Leia, because it at least gives her a humble beginning to be a proper commander. Simply starting as who you end up doesn’t make for a well-written character. undo

  • curprev 00:0900:09, 19 July 2022 192.180.107.176 talk 10,375 bytes +41 It’s still a dumb moment, because tons of more people die under Vader’s mechanical grip when Kenobi had the chance to stop it. undo
  • curprev 00:0600:06, 19 July 2022 1d4chan>Lord Grievous 10,334 bytes +266 Eh, Leia's always been precocious / sharp-tongued. And if she'd sounded like a dimwit, she'd have been less interesting. undo
