The benefits of murdering an enemy healer so it can provide healing to your party, a mage so it can cast offensive or defensive spells for you should be obvious - potentially ANY dead creature can be bound to your will - with all its abilities - using this class - and it's available a hell of a lot earlier than several counterparts in other class combinations.
