Unfortunately for the lion, he didn't taking Laios' treachery into account (the first thing Laios would do after becoming a monster is to experience the taste of a human, and The Winged Lion was possessing Laios' body), it also did not notice to what Laios considered to be the ultimate monster, missing out that the ultimate monster has the ability to consume desires just like demon (Winged Lion just granting Laios wish based on his notebook, lazy demon), ultimately helping Laios in defeating the lion. Without the desire to eat, Lion cease to exist, but not before he cursed Laios unable to fulfill his greatest wish.
