These fiendish daemons act as scavengers in the realm of the Lost God, consuming the flesh and souls of those Malal had deemed as failures. Like carrion eaters, Hook Horrors resemble a skeletal vulture with their iconic hooks for hands. Hook Horrors form the basis of Malal's army. Acting as fast cannon fodder, Hook Horrors leap from the battlefield; their hooks sharp enough to pierce the hulls of the mighty [[Land Raider]]. When a ~~female follower of Malal~~, ~~either human or eldar~~ or ~~similar such species, offer herself to~~ the ~~Guardian~~, ~~if she find its favor it~~ will ~~use its~~ tail ~~to mate with~~ her. If the female is ~~truly~~ a ~~willing follower of Malal~~, she ~~will slowly be converted into~~ a ~~daemonic entity not unlike the Daemon Princes~~ of ~~other Chaos God but without the reality altering powers~~. ~~If she is not~~ a ~~true follower then mating~~ will ~~be unsuccessful, although she may be given the opportunity~~ to ~~try again~~. While a Guardian is cold, calculative and merciless, this new female entity is manipulative, formal and has the manner of individuals from high society. These entities prefer to wear modest but regal clothing and can often be seen to ride upon the backs of their Guardians as warmounts. When not in battle, these females discuss with their mortal followers the next strategies of Malal's campaigns. If a particular mortal is lucky enough to prove with worth in either battle or cunning and so gain her favor, she may allow him to impregnate her. Once her and her favored mortal has done doing their business, she will then later gives birth to mortal male already implanted with a pure gene seed of the same type as the Sons of Malice. In this way, Malal can replenish his favored Chaos Warband with fresh stock. However these females are very selective about who they choose and rarely mate more then once a millennium. This daemonic impregnation is a highly guarded secret, not only from the Imperium of Man and the Inquisition but also other Chaos Warbands, for who knows what result a tainted gene seed offspring might be if the follower of another Chaos God were to mate with one of these female creatures instead. But many among the learned savants of demonkind and the ways of the Warp dispute these unthinkable claims, insisting such a 'mating' or any offspring being produced from such a thing are impossible. Nevertheless, stories of these events and their progeny are well known among those who dare to know of such matters.

When a Sister falls freely to the worship of Malal~~ and ~~willing offers herself~~ to ~~a Guardian,~~ their ~~union empowers far beyond the norm, resulting~~ in ~~a Matron. Matrons will mate only with a chosen male follower of~~ Malal, but their offspring is not a neophyte space marine but is instead a new or reincarnated Guardian of Contradictions. This is a very rare occurrence and has only happened a handful of times over the millenniums. It is theorized that it may be ~~possible for~~ the ~~females~~ of ~~other races to become Matrons too~~, ~~but it is unknown what conditions would need to be met for such a thing to come to pass~~.		The most potent of these Maidens are the Matrons of Malal, who are far more powerful then the average Maiden. These Maidens have become powerful and greatly respected due to their many triumphs in Malal's name, though some may simply be the Maidens born of the greatest of Guardians, inheriting their respect from their progenitor.
