They’re not explosives, people!  They don’t work the same way!) city shields being able to withstand planet-destroying bombardments (as in Alderaan destruction) oh and the shield generators are inside the shield so you can’t target them (or it’d be pointless to try anyway), and the Fortress Worlds carry their own anti-orbital firepower across the surface area of a freaking PLANET.  Defeating just ONE took TEN THOUSAND YEARS of constant tries by literally Hell itself and even then they never actually conquered it and managed to destroy it solely due to having acquired a space station big enough to ram the planet with.  You’re not taking a Fortress World unless you’re the Tyranids or an entire Necron Dynasty.  Or Dark Eldar using spacial compression to literally “take” the planet.&lt;/ins&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
