Previously it was just taken as read that~~ the Patriarch ~~and the Broodlord [[Pretend\|~~are one and the same,]] mainly due to both their psychic prowess and leadership over other Genestealers. GeeDubs just sometimes does this, see also Mycetic Spores. This was hinted in an interview with a Games Workshop sculptor.
