			Gridlink are officially a specialist group within the gendarmarie, though they actually recieve seperate funding and support, with different remits and jurisdictions. Whereas the Jandarmeria is based around preventing threats to Romanian security, Gridlink are a specialised response and investigation unit, and conidered to have superior claims to investigation rights into terrorist incidents. They are also outside the remit of investigation of any group with a lower clearance than the Departamentul Român de Informaţii, the Romanian equvalent of the CIA.
