			In pathfinder, with illithid being copyrighted, Intellect Devourers strike out by themselves, being infiltration agents of the [[Dominion of the Black]], a cabal of evil aliens that worship Lovecraft gods.
			2e toned down by removing the brain draining, so they have to do it manually by clawing you to death. This trade with them gaining spellcasting to help further thier own rule of self-determined agents.
