In spite of this, the marines were known to keep a few around, even though they never got to knock heads with the Imperial Japanese. Other vehicles were either exported to the Chinese and Free French Army, with remaining inventory being sold to many Latin American countries. The M3A1 is still in service in the ~~Domincan~~ Republic today.		However, the M3A1 was determined to be unsuitable and was phased out in favor of the M8 and M20 armored cars. In spite of this, the marines were known to keep a few around, even though they never got to knock heads with the Imperial Japanese. Other vehicles were either exported to the Chinese and Free French Army, with the remaining inventory being sold to many Latin American countries.
