The '''Merkhants''' are one of [[Planescape]]'s "planar sects"; minor factions who have little influence in [[Sigil]]; who hold the dubious honor of being the most uncreatively named and conceived faction in the setting. They might as well just be called the Merchant's Guild considering that they're one letter and word away from that. They believe that money is power, and if you hoard enough material wealth, you will eventually be able to ''buy'' dominion over the entire multiverse, no clue on how they'll be able to use ''fucking physical currency'' to buy out [[Celestia]], the deepest levels of [[Baator]], or the chaotic infinity that is the [[Abyss]].
