During the war between Light and Darkness, the mythical war that forced the Baklunish to migrate across the Tyurzi Mountains to the Baklunish Basin, Mouqol took no side, much like [[Istus]] and [[Geshtai]], and sold necessities to both sides.

==Worshippers==
Though worshipped mainly among the Baklunish, The Merchant has worshippers among the [[Jann]] and the [[Merfolk]] of the Dramidj Ocean, and bazaars and marketplaces often double as temples to him. [[Cleric]]s of The Merchant use their powers to detect and prevent deceptions, theft, and fraud, and act as appraisers. They travel at least once as part of merchant caravans.
