Which is dumb because that would mean modern day Patrol Boats or drones armed with HEAT/HEASH missiles could sink them. Something along the lines of the Ohio SSGN or Guided Missile cruisers (Ticonderoga or Kirov) would make much more sense. Rather than basing their surface vessels on WWII rust buckets. But than again, this is the same universe where tanks designed for WW1 is pressed into duty, so I guess in the end it still fits aesthetically. Existing since the Dark Age of Technology, few know of its existence and much is still unknown of its now forbidden capabilities.
