But there was always a shortage of other equipment because of this. Power Armor and boltshells were lacking for new recruits. A hierarchy grew soon from these shortages, with the Line Marines regulated with poorer equipment. The mechanized and airborne forces would be comprised entirely of veterans, with far better gear than their infantry counterparts. This would create the only sense of pride for the Legionnaires. Fresh troops would earn their way through service and bloodshed into the reserve ranks, being admitted into the elite assault squads with the best equipment.
