The guys who likes to smoke some [[Word Bearers|heretic asses]]. The Solar Auxilia Flamer Section is, as their name implies, is all about that ''literal'' '''fire'''power here. Before the [[Horus Heresy]], these guys were in charged of dealing with the [[Xenos|multiple nasty critters]] up close during the [[Great Crusade]].
==Overview==
Working in conjunction with [[Solar Auxilia Lasrifle Section|Lasrifle Sections]], the Solar Auxilia Flamer Section provides close-quarters support to their Infantry Tercio. Whether advancing on lightly armoured enemies, assaulting occupied bunkers or entrenched behind [[Aegis Defence Line]]s, the gouts of promethium flame from their weapons will drive back foes far greater than them in number. They are also often employed in boarding actions, clearing corridors of ships with ease.

Given their close-combat nature, the Flamer Section all wear [[Reinforced Void Armour]] rather than your typical body armour worn by the more common Lasrifle Sections. As their name implies, these guys are decked carrying [[Flamer]]s, [[Heavy Flamer]]s and [[Hand Flamer]]s. They can also take [[Rotor Cannon]]s if needed, but that's only in situations where there is a serious need for suppressive fire.

==Crunch==
Rather than Volkite, these guys get to carry Rotor Cannons to pin anything you want your other forces to mow down. Of course, if you're dealing with hordes such as the Imperial Army or daemons, then you'd be better suited by grabbing Heavy Flamers for an entire block of templates. Mixing and matching is a decent idea; Pinning tests on the same leadership as long as you cause at least 1 wound and you're therefore not incentivized to max out on Rotor Cannons, while the prohibition on friendly fire can make using 20 Heavy Flamers difficult. If you're spamming Rotor Cannons purely for firepower, just take a few Lasrifle Sections.
