Occasionally the Hive Ships will fill it with Spore Mines instead and drop it as [[Sporocyst\|a special fortification/synapse signal booster]]. Tyrannocytes serve as ship-to-surface transports. Though they appear to be merely spores, they are in fact creatures unto themselves, ejected from orbiting [[Hive Ship\|Hive Ships]] to slam into the planet's surface.
