| A genre not really all that similar to Steampunk.

| It's roughly Edwardian-to-WW2, or 'between-the-wars' in terms of technology. Everything is run on diesel, there are electrical systems but NO electronics and importantly NO information technology systems. We got vaccuum tubes and radio though. Fun stuff.

| Last Exile is an anime with this type of setting. Ridiculous flying/hovering planes in the shape of vans, zero electronics to help them. And a hell of alot of flying battleships powered by steam and floatyrocks.
