Phase Spiders are giant spiders from D&D that can shift between the Ethereal Plane and Material Plane at will, much like Blink Dogs. They used to have human heads, until they got redesigned in 3rd Edition. While 4e and 5e stuck with this redesign, Pathfinder decided to go back to the human-headed design . . . until they also redesigned it as a regular looking spider in Pathfinder 2e (and renamed them Ether Spiders due to increasing paranoia about WotC suing them).
