Speeches[edit | edit source]

Speech 1[edit | edit source]

"Oh, Guardians Exemplar, race from arid wastes, chosen and beloved by the God Emperor's will, who shines forth in many of your works set apart from all the universe by the situation of your homeworld, as well as by your faith and the honor of the holy church of the Emperor of Mankind! To you our discourse is addressed and for you our exhortation is intended.
"Let the deeds of your ancestors move you and incite your minds to manly achievements; the glory and greatness of the Emperor, and of his son Roboute Guilliman, and of your other kings, who have destroyed the kingdoms of the impure, and have extended in these lands the territory of the holy church. Let the holy sepulchre of the Lord of Mankind, which is possessed by unclean xenos, especially incite you, and the holy places which are now treated with ignominy and irreverently polluted with their filthiness. Oh, most valiant soldiers and descendants of invincible ancestors, be not degenerate, but recall the valor of your progenitors."

Speech 2[edit | edit source]

"Attention Infidels. These are the words of your superior caste, the Guardian Exemplars speaking. You worthless beings are but insects compared to our perfection. In consideration of this, we have exterminated countless inferior worlds, and have decided that we will absolve you of your sins as well. The most grievous of which is existence. Surrender immediately and you shall receive our greatest mercy: a quick death. The Emperor's wrath shall visit you all."

Speech 3[edit | edit source]

"Many thousands of years ago, there was a human so pure in body and mind he was like a god. We know him as the Emperor. And he unified humanity, and created twenty sons. And from the genes of the twenty sons came our kind, the Space Marines. But those sons were not pure as their father.
"Eight of them fell to worshiping the Dark Powers, twisted mockeries of the aspects of purity. Khorne, a distortion of strength. Nurgle, a distortion of health. Slaanesh, a distortion of perfection. And Tzeentch, a distortion of wisdom. These eight sons waged a war that ended with the Emperor defeating them at the cost of his life. He now sits on the Golden Throne, a device made to preserve him until he can rule again. From one of his sons, Roboute Gulliman, our chapter found it's ancestry.
"But we knew that he was impure, and so we distilled our geneseed until it was closer to the Emperor's than any other chapter. Over the years, you shall become stronger and stronger, until you are truly worthy of this *points to custode-esque helmet*. Now go."
Scout Company Captain Othrus's speech to new initiates.
