This article related to Dungeons & Dragons is a stub. You can help 1d4chan by expanding it

Shadows are a relatively common monster to feature in many fantasy roleplaying games, but are arguably most associated with Dungeons & Dragons. As their name suggests, shadows are ghost-like undead monsters of animate darkness... or sometimes they are elemental creatures of darkness. It depends.

Slow Shadows are a variant introduced in WG5: Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure. Unlike regular shadows, which are generally humanoid in shape, slow shadows are mostly amorphous and blob-shaped. They latch onto their victims, dealing cold damage and slowing them like the slow spell. Anyone killed by a slow shadow becomes a slow shadow.
