*Because the other Imperial Armies cannot give you what these guys offer and Space Marines are horribly overrated

*A plethora of powerful infantry men with some serious fighting spirit and tanks that can outshine those of other Imperial Armies
*Infantry with high morale and immunity to Fear and Pinning, as well as being capable of withstanding psychic powers
*Hatred against Orks and Tyranids by default along with the Hatred rules each League comes with
*Many options for most squads and vehicles that allows for great versatility (ESPECIALLY with the vehicles)
*Unique League exclusive units, abilities and wargear that allow for unique play-styles
*Some of the options from both above aforementioned points are quite powerful in their own way
*Reasonably powerful Special and Independent Characters
*Forgiving if you know what you are doing
