| Eldar as a race have a realistic and understandable fear of falling back into bad habits that originally led to the Fall long ago. To this end they engineered "path" to follow, basically devoting everything of yourself into a single career of your choice such as baker or poet. You stick to this path and don't end up accidentally creating a new Slaanesh, something Eldar as a whole view as a bad idea. When this decision leads you to a path of battle you typically end up as an aspect warrior. Human have no standards with which to match up to the training and dedication an aspect warrior pours into their fighting style and on the battlefield it shows. When an aspect warrior however becomes to engrossed into their path as many fear they might one day, they become an Exarch, the ultimate expression of that warrior aspect, but a tragic loss of the Eldar they once were. Some Eldar manage to embrace several paths over their lifetimes and avoid being consumed by the fury and passion into becoming an exarch, these are the Autarchs and their pasts allow them to command other aspect warriors as extensions of their own will.

| Aspect warriors draw the closest and most dangerous relationships with their god Khaine, whose mythology leads to a great deal of hatred and anger towards the Eldar race. Aspect warriors fear to become drawn too deeply into the fury of their war god and even those that never become consumed are never completely free of its influence after their first contact with it. The Eldar do not think kindly of their war god and only in desperate times do they find enough reason or conviction to call forth the raging Avatar.
