In Team Yankee[edit | edit source]

Let's face it: Wiesels, of either flavour, are utterly adorable. IRL[edit | edit source]

The Wiesel tankette is the last of its kind as an armored vehicle. While tankettes went virtually extinct after World War 2 due to being unable to survive anything stronger than a heavy machine gun, the Wiesel 1 and 2 were adopted by the West Germans military for an airborne armored vehicle that can travel with paratroopers and transport helicopters. A CH-53 can carry two of them... INTERALLY. Its armor is barely adequate against anything heavier than a battle rifle but can punch above its weight with TOW missiles and AA cannons. Recently the Germans are trying to replace it with the GSD LuWa that’s in development.
