The gist of it is, some Tanarean ruins have just opened up, from one of those times the antiwar dragons/gods wrecked the place in the past. You're off to the capital of the current Empire to register your party. There's a murder investigation leading to a prison. Then you (hopefully) get out to start the real adventure.
The backstory is, some Tanarean ruins have just opened up, of the late Mystical Kingdom's (lol) capital Arcana (rotfl). The current Empire has "annexed" this ex-Wasteland... on paper. The "Realms of Madness" would be that ex-Wasteland so, the Emperor's Writ needs help. Enter you guys. You're off to the capital of said Empire to volunteer FOR ADVENTURE.

Supposedly said adventure aims to be nonlinear but there ''is'' an endgame, involving divine [[artifact]]s called, originally, The Artifacts Of The Gods.

Adventure in the Realms of Madness will be an eleven-chapter long Adventure Path for Tanares. Start at 3rd level. Dan Alcantara is credited as author along with a slew of fellow Brasileiros.

Because it ain't done, we rely upon the teaser: http://www.dragorigames.com/sample/adventure.pdf

This article contains spoilers! You have been warned.

But there's been a murder. So, murder investigation - leading to a prison. (We did say this was designed in Brazil.) Then you (hopefully) get out to start the real adventure.

Supposedly said adventure aims to be nonlinear but there is an endgame, involving divine artifacts called The Artifacts Of The Gods (lmao).

Hopefully avoiding the notice of the antiwar dragons/gods, who tend to involve themselves Elminster-style when mortals get rowdy.
