| Dark Vengeance was the starter set for 7th edition featuring the [[Dark Angels]] and the [[Crimson Slaughter]] and featured new models like the first plastic [[Interrogator-Chaplain]] and the new [[Cultist]] mob for chaos and was the first appearance of a [[Chaos Dreadnought|Hellbrute]]. Apparently marine players huffed over the fact the space marine models were sculpted to be Dark Angels and thus required cleanup and conversion to be usable as other chapters.
