| A genre not really all that similar to [[Steampunk]].

| It's roughly Edwardian-to-WW2, or "interwar" in terms of technology. Everything is run on diesel, there are electrical systems but NO electronics and importantly NO information technology systems. We got vacuum tubes, radio and LOTS of art deco though. Fun stuff.

| Last Exile is an anime with this type of setting. Ridiculous flying/hovering planes in the shape of vans, zero electronics to help them. And a hell of a lot of flying battleships powered by steam and floatyrocks.
