Foundry Virtual Tabletop is a software used to play RPGs online. Unlike its main competitor Roll20, you need to self-host it (on a server or on your own toaster). Another difference is that unlike Roll20, Foundry VTT is not subscription-based, so you only need to buy the product once, which is pretty nice.

While being relatively recent (the first public version was released in 2019), it offers some nice features, such as an API that is not a major pain to work with if you intend to create custom character sheets.
